For DEFCON 24 I thought it would be fun to hand out a deodorant badge. We’ve all heard the comment “We should hand out deodorant at DEFCON” but not many people then go on to do anything about it. My goal was not to cause offensive, but to hand then out to people who asked for one. The hardest part of this build was the hole that the deodorant went in to. I purchased 12 different travel sized brands in order to make sure they would all fit.

A Shapeoko Vacuum Table Design

I was trying to cut out some shapes from some 1/16” thick acrylic the other day when after a few cuts the material seemed to be lifted by the drill. The cutout part would also start to move as the drill reached the end of its travel. This is when it hit me, having a vacuum table would sure be nice!
