For DEFCON 24 I thought it would be fun to hand out a deodorant badge. We’ve all heard the comment “We should hand out deodorant at DEFCON” but not many people then go on to do anything about it. My goal was not to cause offensive, but to hand then out to people who asked for one. The hardest part of this build was the hole that the deodorant went in to. I purchased 12 different travel sized brands in order to make sure they would all fit.

Recently I had to comb though 15 different websites in order to figure out what I was doing. Here are my notes, I hope they are helpful to you.

I was trying to cut out some shapes from some 1/16” thick acrylic the other day when after a few cuts the material seemed to be lifted by the drill. The cutout part would also start to move as the drill reached the end of its travel. This is when it hit me, having a vacuum table would sure be nice!

I’ve always just worked with one GitHub account (my personal one), and then came octopress. I wanted to convert all the sites I manage from WordPress to octopress. Everything went well until running rake deploy.

Tonight I was asked why someones iPhone 5 (or maybe it was a 5s) didn’t show up in iTunes. Luckly they had their laptop with them. The OS was Windows 8 so your milage may vary.

How I got Android Tools working in Kali and Raspbian

Today I woke up to an unresponsive website. When I started to look at the Apache access.log file I found a ton of IPs trying to bruteforce my wp-admin.php creds. I knew they weren’t going to get anywhere (thank you google auth), but it was doing a good job at DDOS.

I have been playing around with multiple projects on a Raspberry Pi and got tired of answering the install questions over and over again. I’m going to assume you know how to do a default install of Raspbian using the installer.

If you have not heard the news, Google screwed up their iphone app. If you were unlucky (like i was) and updated to the latest version it wiped all of your accounts. I didn’t get hit too hard, I only lost access to two WordPress blogs. Below is how I quickly fixed it.
